How long do your gift vouchers last?

The expiry on our gift vouchers is one year.

Can I change the expiry date on my gift voucher?

Yes you can change both the start date and the expiry date. If you do not think you will find the time to get your spa day booked in we can extend the expiry date by up to a year in house or 6 months at a time for online vouchers. There is no additional charge for this service.

Can I use my voucher to book online?

No you will need to contact the spa directly if you wish to book with a gift voucher. This is in the pipeline and we hope to have this functionality in the not too distant future. 

What do I bring for a spa day? 

Please bring along a swimsuit and indoor footwear such as flip flops or slippers, If you wish to use the gym then gym clothing and trainers will be needed too.

What I wear for my treatment?

We suggest popping on your underwear under your robe, however if you want to keep your swimwear on that’s not a problem. We offer paper pants that you can wear during your treatment should you not wish to be in damp swimwear. Certain treatments such as body scrubs and wraps we request that you put the paper pants on to avoid damaging your swimwear with the products used. Why do need to complete a medical form?

The medical forms help to give your therapist or reception team the information needed should you be poorly during your spa day. The forms will also help us to make an informed decision as to what treatments are suitable and ensure that you have the best experience possible. We ask that anyone having cancer treatment or suffering from major health conditions or after recently undergoing surgery that you check with your GP prior to attending.

How do I complete my medical form?

On booking you will receive a booking confirmation via email, this booking form will have a link and a QR code (you can use either) this will take you to an area where you can login and complete you medical questionnaire. The link can be forwarded to all members of your party each individual will need to log in as themselves and complete their own form. It is the ‘SPA’ medical questionnaire that needs completing. If you have any problems doing this prior to your arrival don’t worry, we can log you in and assist you on arrival.

What facilities can I use if a book a half or full day or spa package? 

On arrival you can relax into your day with a welcome drink, you will have use of the gym, pool, sauna, steam rooms, experience showers, ice fountain, sensory bed, library, and relaxation room. All of the above facilities can be used in either the full or half day. For full descriptions of our facilities see our Facilities page.

Do I have access to the spa facilities if I only book a treatment? 

When booking a treatment without a half or full day you will not have access to the spa facilities, to gain access you can add on a half day however this is subject to availability as we only take low numbers of spa guests to enhance the visit.

What is the minimum age allowed to book at the spa? 

The minimum age is 16 years accompanied by a person who is over the age of 18 years. Anyone aged 16 or 17 will be slightly restricted to certain treatments and we ask that they are in the dual treatment room, there will also be a Minor release form for the over 18 (parent or guardian) will need to sign too.

Do you have larger sized robes?

Yes, please let us know either prior to your arrival or on arrival should you wish to have a larger robe.

Do you provide slippers to wear? 

We ask that you bring your own indoor footwear or slippers to wear during your visit. This is to ensure your comfort. Don’t worry if you forget them, we have spa slippers that can be purchased from reception.

What happens if I need to cancel or rearrange my spa day? 

Don’t worry! We will pop your deposit on to your spa account this way there is no expiry date and you can rebook when you feel well enough to do so, alternatively we can send you vouchers to the value of the deposit this way you can still rebook at a later date. Please see refund policy.

Do I need to pay when I book my spa day? 

Yes we take full payment on booking, should you need to move the booking we do not charge for this.

What is the Spa Membership? 

The spa membership gives you a set amount of visits over a 12 month period for example our most popular spa membership package is the Pear which gives you 4 visits per year, you fill in the sign up for and can either pay up front for the year so pay the joining fee and first instalment then set up a monthly Direct Debit. You get a welcome pack which contains guest passes, vouchers and your spa membership booklet and you receive a goody bag on your initial sign up. The spa membership give you spa time at a reduced cost and helps to spread that cost further by paying monthly should you wish. You will also get discounts on additional spa days and treatments booked for yourself.

Can I request the same therapist that I had on my last visit? 

Yes, Our fabulous therapists are always really pleased to see that they have been requested! If you like and feel comfortable with a certain therapist then please let us know on booking.

Can I request the time of my treatments in the spa day? 

Yes, however it does depend on what we have got booked in already on that day as to whether we can accommodate your request. We do also ask you to be mindful that we will always do our best to accommodate your request but if we have a member of the team off sick on the day we may have to juggle things around to fit all the guests in.

I regularly use retinol and skin peels am I ok to have a facial? 

We would advise not to, retinol may cause sensitivity and you are more likely to react to other facial products (especially if never used on your skin previously)

What time are the half day slots? 

Our half day time slots are 9am-1pm, 10am-2pm, 1pm-5pm and 2pm-6pm however should you wish to come 11am-3pm or from 4pm-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays we can accommodate subject to availability.

Do you have an age limit? 

Our minimum age is 16 years old accompanied by an adult up to the age of 18 years. We don't have a maximum but the oldest person that we have had in the spa was 101 years!

Are lunches included in the spa day or half day?

Lunch is included in the full day an is an optional extra with the half day lunches for the half day start from £12.50pp. our lunch menus can be found on our website under the spa tab then click lunch choices.

Can I add lunch on to a half day?

Yes the lunch can be added to the half day we will need to know either on booking or a minimum of 24 hours prior to your arrival to be able to inform the caterers.

Do my treatments need to be within the half day spa slot?

Yes, as we have low numbers of guests this is to ensure that we stick to our maximum number of guests and that there are locker keys available for the afternoon guests when they arrive, it also helps with the flow of all your days ensuring that we have staggered arrivals and departures to help your visit to be as relaxed as possible.

How Many people do we allow in spa at one time? 

We currently allow 18 guests in the spa at any one time this is to enable each guest to have their own space to switch off and really relax.

Is there shower gel and shampoo to use during my spa visit? 

Yes, we provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion to use during your visit. If you would like to try any of our Pinks Boutique or Thalgo products whilst spaing please ask at reception and we will be able to assist by providing samples or a small amount of the cream to use on the day.

I am Vegan and Gluten Free what treatments can I have?

All of the Pinks Boutique face and body treatments are Vegan and Gluten Free, they are also free from SLS, SLES, parabens and all of the nasties and are an Organic British brand.

I am in a wheel chair can I still spa and have treatments?

Yes, however we would recommend popping over to take a look around prior to booking to ensure we are right for you. We have a ground floor treatment room, please let us know on booking so that we can make sure we book out the ground floor treatment room just for you. Certain treatments we may advise against as they may be uncomfortable so please speak to our reception team and we will be more than happy to create a treatment to suit you. With regards to spa use it’s up to you, we have changing facilities and showers and the pool and heat experience that is accessible to wheelchairs, however there is a few steps down to the bistro and relaxation room and into the water in the pool. Due to the boutique nature of our spa we would say that we would perhaps not be suitable for power assisted chairs, but you’re more than welcome to come and take a look around prior to booking.

I struggle to get up stairs is the spa suitable for me? 

That is down to you, however the pool, heat areas and changing areas are all locate on the ground level, and so there is access to the spa facilities without having to negotiate stairs there is however a few steps down to our relaxation area and library room. If you are booking a treatment, please inform us that you would like the treatment in the ground floor treatment room on booking, this way we can reserve the room for you.

I want to add on a surprise for my friends birthday what can you offer? 

We can pop a personalised note and some skincare samples in their locker as a surprise on arrival free of charge. If you would like to add on a glass or bottle of prosecco or similar, please let us know on booking or on arrival and we can do this for you this will incur an additional charge, this will vary depending on what you choose. If you have any balloons or other items, you would like us to display or pop in their locker this can be done if you could drop off the items prior to arrival. We can order Birthday cakes from our supplier, this again depending on what you choose, will incur a charge.

Can I add lunch on, on the day?

We order our lunches from outside caterers and so we would ned 24-48 hours’ notice prior to your arrival to be able to add lunch to your booking. You can call or email us to do this, and we would need to know your lunch choice and if you have any dietary requirements. We do however always have cakes, crisps and drinks available on the day, these do not need to be prebooked.

Can I order cake and drinks on the day?

Yes, we always have a supply of cakes, crisps and drinks available to purchase on the day. Although we generally always have a selection of Vegan or Gluten free cakes please do let us know prior to your arrival if you have any dietary requirements.

I am currently in my first trimester of pregnancy can I use the spa and have treatments?

It isn’t advisable to use the Heat rooms and certain essential oils need to be avoided and so we would recommend only the use of the pool and relaxation areas during this delicate time, with regards to treatments we would only recommend a facial or pedicure during these early stages.

I am over 12 weeks pregnant can I use the spa and have treatments?

It isn’t advisable to use the Heat rooms and certain essential oils need to be avoided we would recommend only the use of the pool and relaxation areas during this delicate time. Our pregnancy packages have taken this in to account offering more treatment time to make up for not using the heat experience area. With regards to treatments we would recommend any of our pregnancy treatments, our therapist will go through a thorough consultation to ensure that the treatments chosen is suitable and can adapt it to suit you.

I have Cancer is spa and treatments recommended? 

Each person and their diagnosis is different, we would advise speaking to your oncologist and getting a note from themselves or your doctor to ensure spa treatments are right for you.

I have a serious health condition, is it ok to spa and have treatments?

It all depends on the condition, in most cases it is advised that you avoid the heat experience area and certain massages and essential oils however each person is different and we advise to contact your GP or consultant to double check prior to spaing, to ensure you have a fully relaxing visit.

When do we find out our treatment times? 

On arrival you will receive your schedule, this will state what time your treatments and lunch are booked for. If you have any specific requests for timing, please let us know on booking and we will dour best to accommodate.
